Intertek achieves TISAX® Assessment Level 3 Certification, enhancing position as trusted parter to automotive industry

Reinforces commitment to information security excellence and building trusted partnerships with global automotive manufacturers

10 December 2025, Kaufbeuren, Germany: Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, is pleased to announce that its Electrical and Transportation Technologies laboratory in Kaufbeuren, Germany, has achieved TISAX® (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) Assessment Level 3 (AL3) certification.

This significant milestone underscores Intertek's ability to meet the stringent information security requirements of the global automotive industry and enhances its dedication to serving automotive manufacturers and their supply chains.

Developed by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) and operated by the ENX Association, TISAX is the gold standard for information security assessments in the automotive sector. AL3 is the most stringent of the TISAX certifications and requires a full independent audit and on-site assessment of the company’s information security management systems, data protection protocols, and operational processes aligned with ISO/IEC 27001 standards. 

Achieving AL3 demonstrates that Intertek meets the highest level of information security assurance demanded by the automotive industry, particularly for handling highly sensitive or confidential data shared with partners, OEMs, and clients across the supply chain.
